The Alabama Aerospace Industry Association's mission is to promote the growth of the aerospace industry in Alabama and is dedicated to making the state a major force in the global aerospace industry.  Areas of focus include: workforce development, industry growth, and networking among the aerospace, aviation and defense industries in Alabama. 

The membership of AAIA is segmented into four primary business sectors: 

(1) manufacturers of aerospace, aviation and defense hardware, software and equipment;

(2) maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO);

(3) parts manufacture and supply for the aerospace industry; and

(4) research and development as well as other technical services.

These association sectors represent nearly a dozen different business categories throughout all regions of Alabama.  Each of the sector groups are represented on our board of directors and we work on behalf of all aerospace companies in Alabama to improve the business environment and workforce capabilities in all industry segments.
